Mark Browne of Clerkin Lynch LLP will give a lecture on November 9, 2023 to participants in the Securities Law Program of the Colombus School of Law in Washington DC, USA on the regulation of crypto assets in Europe.
The European Union has recently taken a major step toward effective regulation of the crypto sector, enacting the Markets in Crypto Assets regulation, known as “MiCA”, which is due to take effect in 2024. This development makes the EU the first major jurisdiction in the world to introduce comprehensive, tailored rules for the crypto sector. The lecture will cover MiCA and major European developments in the regulation of crypto assets
Mr Browne will also be lecturing on the Regulation of Crypto Assets in the Law School of Ireland in November 20023 as part of its Diploma in Finance Law course.
